Identifies risks related to business processes and activities and evaluates controls used to manage these risks based on their impact to the achievement of the group s strategic objectives to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.
Develops risk assessments, process flows and testing procedures that are compliant with policies, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices.
Assists in development of internal audit plan based on a comprehensive assessment of risks.
Assists in determining the appropriate audit scope and audit type with the management for assigned audits and execute the audit plan.
Reviews compliance with policies and procedures and assesses their fit for purpose.
Prepares audit reports stating findings and conclusions pertaining to the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management, control systems and efficiency with which activities are carried out.
Identifies the cost-effective improvements in the areas audited as well as other opportunities for improvement in business efficiency and resource utilization.
Appraises the adequacy of the corrective actions taken by management on audit recommendations/ improvement options.
Participates in conducting special reviews and undertakes administrative duties as directed by the Director or Audit Committee.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

Has a bachelor s degree in accounting, Finance or related field
Has at least 6-8 years of relevant experience in auditing (consulting and/or industry)
Professional qualification (i.e., CIA/ACCA/CPA/CA) is an asset
