Chevron Bangladesh is accepting online application from Bangladeshi nationals only for the position of Facilities Engineer – Civil & Structural located in Dhaka.
Major Responsibilities

Perform civil and structural design, including design of steel and concrete structures, geotechnics including shallow and deep foundations, transportation including roads, bridge and culverts, land surveying, land development, underground utilities and architectural designs

Conduct detailed reviews of civil and structural designs for upstream gas field projects, including engineering drawings, quality control, and progress monitoring.
Ensure design compliant with company and industry standards and specifications through thorough technical evaluations.
Review engineering designs and vendor documentation for civil and structural designs including selection of appropriate materials
Prepare documents for specifications, datasheets, procurement packages, installation, inspections, and audits.
Review contractor bids and evaluations for civil contracts and purchases, assist in award recommendations
Oversee construction and installation activities related to civil and structural scopes, ensuring adherence to design and safety standards.
Supervise civil site supervisors and coordinate contractor activities during construction phases as per requirement

Serve as point of contact for the Facility Engineering (FE) Department on civil engineering matters, liaising with field operations, field construction and contractor teams.

Troubleshoot and conduct inspection of existing civil and structural systems including buildings, steel structures, drainage systems, bridges, and retaining walls.
Required Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years' experience in civil or structural engineering. Experience in oil and gas industry is preferred.
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution

Proficient in using following tools:

Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro Advanced, STAAD Foundation Advanced, RAM Connection, and RCDC.
Familiar with key industry standards including ACI, ASCE, AISC, ASTM, AASHTO
Preferred design experience in steel and concrete structures, geotechnics including shallow and deep foundations, transportation including roads, bridge and culverts, land surveying, land development, underground utilities and architectural designs
Fluent in English language; excellent verbal & written communication abilities; technical writing and documentation proficiency
Innovative problem-solver with the ability to develop practical solutions and resolve complex engineering challenges.
Highly motivated self-starter who demonstrates initiative and works effectively with minimal supervision.
